Despite obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in IT from James Madison University, Meg Logan was unsure about starting a career in IT after graduation. Meg almost followed a different career path until a fateful call from family friend, Frank Bruffey Sr., changed her course. Nearly 25 years later, Meg is utilizing her experience, kindness and sense of humor to serve Protech clients.

Meg, Protech’s senior business analyst, guides clients through the data migration process by helping them audit and validate their data. When associations have reporting requirements, she is there to assist them with satisfying specifications and producing reports; enabling them to retrieve desired data in an accessible format.

The Silver Spring, Maryland-native joined Protech in 1991 and will be celebrating 25 years with the company next year. In 2009, Meg received a Protech All Star WOW! Award, which honors staff members that go above and beyond to make customers’ experience with Protech solutions exceptional, as a result of her efforts with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP). Meg counts winning the WOW! Award as one of the most memorable moments of her career.

When Meg isn’t assisting customers, she’s spending time with her family— husband, John; 10-year old son, Jack; and nine-year old daughter, Mary Clare. Together they enjoy traveling as one of their favorite pastimes. Recent trips include visiting Walt Disney World, Yellowstone National Park and New Hampshire. Apart from her family, Meg enjoys reading historical fiction novels, especially Philippa Gregory’s works, and rooting for the Maryland Terrapins’ basketball and football teams. She considers her parents Mike and Maggie her heroes and credits them with instilling her with a strong work ethic, kindness and a sense of humor. She relies on these qualities and her personal motto, “Learn to appreciate the little things for one day you will look back and realize that they were really the big things,” at Protech when guiding associations through data migrations.
